We’re having a real cold spell at the moment, making the weather perfect for ice lanterns!
I wanted to try something new so I stuffed an old doily in a silicone cake mold and filled it with water. I put the mold outside in the cold for a couple of hours, and then unmolded the ice lantern.
It turned out great! The lace shows up nicely against the candlelight.
And then when winter is finally over, the lantern has melted and I can reuse the doily for some other project!
